Position Overview:
Our Shippers/Receivers help achieve world-class store performance while contributing to and supporting the overall branch strategy, performance, and growth. Shipper/Receivers receive orders, process outgoing shipments, and help maintain the overall organization of the branch.
What you’ll do:
- Receive purchase orders and transfers and receives inter-company transfers
- Process outgoing shipments of products via UPS or other delivery methods
- Document and resolves discrepancies related to transfers and purchase orders
- Stock product in correct warehouse location
- Process customer orders and provides technical advice
- Pull orders and prepares loads for delivery to customer
- Assist in the loading and unloading of trucks
- Partner with branch leadership to understand and implement new technologies and ways of working to help positively impact business performance
- Maintain a safe working environment
Skills We Are Seeking::
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds
- Forklift experience preferred
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work quickly and accurately
- Ready and willing to learn and adopt new technologies and ways of working
- Landscape, Nursery, or Irrigation product knowledge is helpful
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
