🏥 Position Overview
CarolinaEast Medical Center is seeking an experienced Inpatient Pharmacist – Oncology IV Room Coordinator to support its Cancer Center Pharmacy. This is a highly specialized role focused on oncology medication preparation, IV admixture services, and safe chemotherapy handling within a clinical pharmacy environment.
This role offers a temp-to-perm opportunity, allowing for long-term placement if mutually agreed upon.
🧪 Key Responsibilities- Coordinate oncology IV room operations and sterile compounding
- Prepare and verify chemotherapy and IV medications
- Ensure compliance with USP / standards
- Collaborate with oncology care teams and providers
- Support medication safety and clinical pharmacy services
- Maintain accurate documentation and pharmacy records
- Utilize pharmacy computer systems for order verification and workflow
- Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) from an accredited program
- Active Pharmacist license in any U.S. state (NC license preferred; pending accepted)
- Strong knowledge of inpatient or clinical pharmacy workflows
- Ability to learn and operate pharmacy systems effectively
