Job Number 722106BR Description:The Theater Strike Weapons System Mission Segment (TSWS) is part of our Strategic and Missile Defense Systems (SMD) Line of Business which equips our military with tools that enable them to Defend, Deter, and Defeat.
Our TSWS team designs, develops, and fields hypersonic weapons on various platforms. This role will be part of our Zumwalt program which integrates the U.S. Navy's Conventional Prompt Strike (CPS) hypersonic missile system onto Zumwalt-class destroyers.
This partnership turns the advanced stealth destroyers into the nation's first sea-based platforms for delivering hypersonic, long-range strikes. This role is for the CPS Zumwalt Installation Project Engineer for the Conventional Prompt Stike (CPS) Zumwalt program at the Huntington Ingalls Industry Shipyard in Pascagoula, MS.
The candidate will be a key interface between the program office, the shipyard, and the LM Away Teams working the installation and testing of the CPS Weapon System onto the ZUMWALT DDG-1000 class destroyers. The candidate will be located at Huntington Ingalls Industry shipyard in Pascagoula, MS.
The position supports Zumwalt Program Manager for execution of installation and testing of CPS Weapon System onto ZUMWALT DDG-1000 class ships. The position will provide status of ship modifications and build status, support LM installation and testing of the CPS weapon system, provide logistical support for LM CPS away teams at the shipyard, and coordinate with HII shops and personnel for necessary support and status.

Additionally, some work will be accomplished at other shipyards or Naval Bases. The position may require travel to these other locations for short term support of installation/testing. Position will also support Platform Integration's management and execution of the Alteration Installation Team.

Basic Qualifications:
  • Shipyard experience
  • Knowledge of shipboard electrical installation and hook-ups
  • General knowledge of electronics installations
Desired Skills:
  • Ability to use the Microsoft Office tools (primarily Word and Excell)
  • Ability to learn program office processes
  • Knowledge of shipyard organizational structure and how to communicate with them
o Craft (X35 electrical experience preferred)
  • Experience with Aegis installations a plus
  • Active knowledge of Ship's Mgt. and X35 mgt. on Zumwalt

Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off
