Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced NICU RN with a minimum of 3 years of Level IV NICU experience and CA licensure for a 9-week travel contract requiring variable rotating day/night shifts.
Details- Level IV NICU at an acute care hospital setting
- Variable rotating day and night shifts — straight days will not be accommodated
- Day shift: 7:00–19:30 | Night shift: 19:00–7:30 (3x12-hour shifts)
- Patient population includes neonates requiring advanced critical care interventions
- Specialized procedures include vent management, trach management, telemetry, pulmonary artery lines, umbilical/central line management, chest tube management, UVCs, and UACs
- Floating required to PICU and CICU, as well as other affiliated facilities within the health system
- Active CA RN license required
- Current AHA BLS and NRP certifications required
- Minimum 3 years of Level IV NICU experience required
- Proficiency in vent management, trach management, telemetry, pulmonary artery lines, umbilical/central line management, chest tube management, UVCs, and UACs required
- Must be competent floating to PICU and CICU
- STABLE certification preferred
- Provide advanced critical care nursing to neonatal patients in a high-acuity Level IV NICU
- Candidates must be open to variable rotating shifts — this is a firm requirement for this position
