Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced ICU RN for a Neuro ICU position in Lexington, KY, requiring ACLS, NIHSS, and night shift availability.
Details- 19-bed Neuro ICU within a hospital setting
- Patient population includes CVA, neurosurgical, carotid surgery, carotid stent, surgical post-op, cardiac interventions, sepsis, general surgery, and complex critical care patients
- Unit supports a comprehensive stroke program for critical care placements
- Night shift, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week (36 hrs/week)
- 13-week contract
- Active, unrestricted RN license in Kentucky or a compact state
- Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and Annual Dysrhythmia Competency Validation
- ADN or ASN required; BSN preferred
- ICU or critical care nursing experience preferred
- MM/DD of date of birth and last 4 digits of SSN required for consideration
- Responsibilities include comprehensive patient assessments, care planning, patient and family education, discharge coordination, and quality improvement participation
- Nursing practice is evidence-based and incorporates all four phases of the nursing process with clinical autonomy within scope of practice
- Collaborative, interdisciplinary team environment emphasizing patient- and family-centered care
