# Job Opportunity – Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse – West Virginia
Start Date: ASAPLocation: Morgantown, West Virginia

Schedule: 3x12 or 4x12 hour shifts, nights (weekdays and weekends), 13-week contract with possible extension
Highlights:
- 34-bed medical-surgical unit serving acute care patients with diverse diagnoses and complex care needs
- Nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:5-7
- Cerner EMR system utilized throughout the facility
- Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, physical therapy, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
- Flexible scheduling with unit working to accommodate requests when possible
- Average daily census of 25-30 patients across diverse medical-surgical cases
Requirements:
- Active RN License: West Virginia or Compact state license required (pending license accepted for submission)
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience in medical-surgical nursing
- Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (must be American Heart Association certified)
- Experience with Cerner charting system required
- Permanent address must be at least 75-100 miles from the facility location
- Two manager or charge nurse references from the past two years
- Strong attendance record and commitment to reliability throughout contract duration
