- Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,000 - $2,100
- Active RN license required (valid in Pennsylvania)
- Minimum 1 year of inpatient adolescent psychiatric experience (ages 14–17) required
- Experience or comfort working with geriatric behavioral health patients preferred
- BLS certification required
- De-escalation training/certification required (SAFE Training Course available onsite if needed)
- Ability to float between adolescent and geriatric behavioral health units
- Deliver high-quality, compassionate psychiatric nursing care to adolescent and geriatric patients in an inpatient behavioral health setting
- Assess mental health status, administer medications per protocol, and monitor patient safety and progress
- Implement and uphold the philosophy, goals, and standards of the Department of Nursing
- Participate in staffing, scheduling, and supervision of unit personnel as needed
- Coordinate orientation and ongoing education for staff members; support clinical training for new hires and travel nurses
- Foster positive relationships with interdisciplinary teams (psychiatrists, therapists, social workers) and promote a collaborative work environment
- Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment, utilizing de-escalation techniques and crisis intervention strategies when appropriate
- Promote positive public relations as a representative of the Nursing Department and the travel nursing team
