Plant Financial Controller
One of our best clients has asked for our help to recruit and hire a skilled Plant Controller to lead the Finance and Accounting Team for their operations in Tualatin, OR.
The Controller will support the Finance and Accounting function with a focus on managing the daily accounting operations, ensuring compliance and assisting with the preparation of financial statements and reports. They will maintain internal controls and support financial activities.
Responsibilities:
- Developing and maintaining internal controls, policies, and procedures.
- Providing input, assistance and accuracy with the vendor master database in Oracle, including adding new vendors and confirming bank payment instructions.
- Review and verification of any requests to add vendors to the vendor master database, ensuring the integrity of the vendor master.
- Supporting the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close and reporting processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting in accordance with GAAP.
- Overseeing the maintenance and enhancement of accounting systems, including ERP-related functions and process improvements.
- Coordinate with external auditors during financial and compliance audits by preparing schedules and providing documentation.
- Prepare internal financial reports and assist in analyzing variances between actual results and budgeted and forecasted figures.
- Participate in the employee interview process. Identify and select the most highly skilled candidate for the team. Develop a successful onboarding plan for new talent that will successfully assimilate them into their role, and the organization.
- Coach and mentor employees in a way that fosters two-way communication and will develop a best-in-class team.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree, in Finance or Accounting required, Master's preferred, and 4-6 years practical experience in either an operating/product-driven company, public accounting company, or mix required. CPA preferred but not required.
- Experience as a financial advisor to the business, provide guidance on internal controls, compliance and risk mitigation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, especially Excel. Operation in an ERP environment required, with specific experience with Oracle EBS strongly preferred.
This position offers:
- A base salary in the $150K range depending upon skills, credentials and years of relevant experience.

Pay Details: $135,000.00 to $150,000.00 per year
