Travel Pharmacy Technician – Inpatient - TPT#1843

Weekly Hours: 40 Hours

• Shift: Day Shift – 5x8 Hours (09:30 AM – 06:00 PM)
• Hours: 40 hours/week
• Weekend Requirement: Required (may include consecutive weekends)
• Holiday Coverage: As per facility policy

Position Overview

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced Inpatient Pharmacy Technician to support pharmacy operations at a critical access hospital. This role involves medication preparation, sterile compounding, and supporting safe medication dispensing processes in an acute care environment using EPIC and Pyxis systems.

• Prepare and dispense medications under pharmacist supervision
• Perform sterile and non-sterile compounding
• Prepare IV admixtures and non-hazardous medications
• Assist with chemotherapy preparation when required
• Operate Pyxis medication dispensing systems
• Label, package, and store medications per regulatory standards
• Maintain controlled substance records and compliance
• Ensure medication safety and report discrepancies
• Maintain and sterilize compounding equipment and cleanroom areas
• Support daily inpatient pharmacy workflow and operations

• Minimum 1 year of pharmacy technician experience (acute care/inpatient required)
• Experience in hospital or community hospital pharmacy setting
• EPIC EMR and Pyxis experience (Required – Hard Stop)
• Active State Pharmacy Technician License (Required)
• Travel pharmacy experience required
• Strong understanding of medication safety and pharmacy operations

• CPhT Certification
• Experience with IV admixture and sterile compounding
• Knowledge of chemotherapy preparation
