Sr. Accountant

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Accountant for a contract assignment to support a local client. This role is ideal for a results-driven professional who excels in fast-paced environments, brings deep accounting expertise, and can deliver immediate impact during periods of growth or transition.

Responsibilities:

• Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual closings, including reconciliations and journal entries.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements, reports, and supporting schedules.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP, internal controls, and company policies.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis projects.
• Support audits and respond to auditor requests.
• Collaborate with cross-department teams to resolve accounting issues.
• Identify process improvement opportunities and implement best practices.

Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years experience in accounting; prior contract or temporary roles preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Advanced proficiency with accounting software (e.g., Microsoft D365, Oracle NetSuite, QuickBooks, SAP, Workday).
• Strong understanding of GAAP and corporate accounting principles.
• High attention to detail, excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Outstanding organizational and communication abilities.
• Ability to manage sensitive information discreetly and independently.
