Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse / Telemetry – Tyler, TX 75701
Start Date: June 1, 2026Location: Tyler, Texas
Schedule: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM). Patient ratio 1:5-6. Weekend coverage required for approximately half of the contract duration.
Highlights:
- 36-bed cardiac telemetry unit specializing in medical-level cardiac care and post-intervention recovery
- Patient population includes post-cardiac surgery, coronary artery stent placement, pacemaker implants, and stable cardiac patients
- Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
- Epic charting system with 16 hours of orientation provided
- All private room setting serving adult through geriatric populations
- 91-day assignment from June through August 2026
Requirements:
- Active RN license in Texas
- Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- Minimum 2 years of telemetry nursing experience preferred
- Previous travel nursing experience preferred
- Epic charting system experience required
- Experience with cardiac telemetry, dysrhythmia management, vasoactive drips, post-cardiac procedures, and advanced cardiac care protocols
- Must not reside in designated local counties per facility travel compliance requirements
