About Our Client
I'm currently partnered with the CFO at a global, multi-million dollar consumer goods company looking to grow their team due to continuous organic and acquisitive growth. They have been around for 50+ years and are reinventing their brand with major investments in their space.Their goal is continue the growth of the business over the course of the next 5 years, and are looking to add a strong Controller to their team due to this.
Job Description- Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and applicable regulatory standards
- Lead the close process, including reconciliations, journal entries, and variance analysis
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to executive leadership
- Manage day-to-day accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger
- Participate in annual physical inventory count & applicable reconciliations
- Maintain and improve accounting systems, policies, and procedures
- Ensure proper documentation and audit trails for all financial transactions
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency through automation and process optimization
- Implement best practices in financial reporting and controls

The Successful Applicant- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
- CPA or MBA preferred
- 8+ years of experience in Accounting
- Manufacturing and/or consumer goods industry experience preferred
- Inventory management/reconciliation experience required
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 a plus
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
