Job Description
The Assistant Project Manager - Commercial Projects - DC Metro will:
- Support the Project Manager across multiple active projects from preconstruction through close‑out
- Manage document control including submittals, RFIs, meeting minutes, and project logs
- Lead portions of OAC meetings and coordinate communication with owners, architects, and consultants
- Draft and track change orders, cost proposals, and budget updates
- Coordinate with subcontractors and vendors-proactively picking up the phone to resolve issues
- Assist with schedule updates, progress tracking, and field coordination
- Track project costs, follow financials, and support monthly reporting
- Utilize Procore daily to manage project workflows and documentation
- Support estimating efforts and pricing exercises as needed

The Successful Applicant
The Assistant Project Manager - Commercial Projects - DC Metro will have:
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field
- Minimum of 2 years' experience as an Assistant Project Manager or Senior Project Engineer
- Strong proficiency with Procore and construction document control processes
- Exposure to financial tracking, change management, and project estimating
- Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and thrive in a fast‑paced environment
- Willingness to work fully in‑office in Washington, DC
