A busy manufacturer located in Telford, PA is seeking a Design and Development Engineer to join their team. Salary: $75K-$90K. Hours: 8am-4:30pm, M-F. This person will be responsible for the design, development and successful implementation of product solutions from concept through production.
This role partners closely with customers, Sales Account Managers, Technical Sales Engineers, Manufacturing, and Quality to develop products that meet customer performance, quality, and cost objectives. Job Responsibilities: Lead the design and development of custom products and related assemblies from initial concept through production launch, ensuring designs meet customer requirements, manufacturability, quality standards, and cost objectives; Utilize CAD software to create and maintain detailed engineering drawings, 3D models, bills of materials (BOMs), specifications, production work instructions, and other technical documentation required to support manufacturing and customer deliverables; Collaborate with customers, Technical Sales Engineers, Sales Account Managers, Manufacturing, Tooling, Quality, and other engineering resources to understand application requirements, identify design constraints, and develop effective engineering solutions.
Job requirements: BS degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field. 2 - 3 years of experience in manufacturing technical sales, sales engineering, or mechanical / application engineering (preferred) preferably within a manufacturing or OEM environment.
