Position Summary:
Orlando Health is a 3,200-bed system that includes 15 wholly-owned hospitals and emergency departments; rehabilitation services, cancer institutes, heart institutes, imaging and laboratory services, wound care centers, physician offices for adults and pediatrics, skilled nursing facilities, an in-patient behavioral health facility, home healthcare services in partnership with LHC Group, and urgent care centers in partnership with CareSpot Urgent Care.Nearly 4,200 physicians, representing more than 80 medical specialties and subspecialties have privileges across the Orlando Health system, which employs nearly 22,000 team members. Position Summary
Responsible for the general maintenance and cleaning of hard surfaced floors, walls, windows, doors, drains, counters and food serviceequipment, to include the kitchen coolers, store rooms, dining areas and the cafeteria.
Essential Functions- Assists with non-patient food services as needed.
- Ensures all trash receptacles are emptied and cleaned.
- Moves furniture, equipment and other items as required.
- Stocks food, paper, and beverage supplies, using proper shelf rotation procedures.
- Communicates proper information regarding patient, non-patient or departmental needs to Group Leaders, Food Service
- Accomplishes other duties as directed.
- Models essential service behaviors, such as excellent communication and customer service skills with patients, nursing staff, and visitors.
- Maintains reasonably regular, punctual attendance consistent with Orlando Health policies, the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state
- Maintains compliance with all Orlando Health policies and procedures.
- Participates in monthly departmental meetings and all related inservices.
- Observes all departmental rules and regulations.
- Follows outlined cleaning procedures of patient tray delivery carts as needed.
- Assists in dishroom area as needed.
- Aware of and follows all universal precautions as they apply to food services.
- Aware of and follow all Food Borne Illness prevention and sanitation requirements.
- Interacts appropriately with a culturally diverse population.
- Follows chain of command when communicating departmental and individual concerns or problems.
- Knowledgeable of Patient Satisfaction goals. Works consistently to exceed the department’s and Orlando Health’s objectives by
