SEO Specialist

We are looking for an extrovert, ambitious, business-oriented, analytical, and personable SEO Specialist to join our team. We are looking for someone who is savvy in marketing and has experience in all aspects of SEO.

Desired Education:

Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Advertising, Business, Journalism, Communications, Information Systems or Statistics (GPA above a 3.5)

Responsibilities:

  • Optimizing client website for search engines (on-page SEO)
  • Manage all aspects of SEO and link building campaigns for clients
  • Keyword research for both SEO and PPC campaigns
  • Analyze competitors’ websites and online marketing initiatives
  • Research compelling topic best for blogs and other content
  • Write and QA content (blogs, infographics, videos, articles, PR releases, etc)
  • Manage significant paid search budgets on top tier search engines (Google, Bing, & Facebook)
  • Prepare monthly SEO campaign reports
  • Optimize web content for keywords related to customer products and services
  • Consult with clients about their business goals and propose solutions and strategies that meet their needs
  • Assist in email marketing, website analysis and online advertising programs
  • Correct technical issues on the backend of website
  • Perform A/B, website usability, and website conversion rate testing
  • Responsible for driving client success on the web
Work Breakdown
  • 5% analyzing clients’ competitors
  • 15% on-page optimization and updating website content
  • 10% technical seo implementation and fixes
  • 15% SEO link building campaigns
  • 15% client SEO strategy and analytics
  • 25% writing copy or QA'ing content from other writers
  • 15% client interaction - phone calls, emails, in-person meetings, etc.
  • Note: The SEO Specialist is a client-facing position

Experience:

  • General web marketing experience
  • SEO experience with successful case studies
  • Internship/part-time/summer job/ experience are a plus
  • Blogging experience (Desired)
  • Basic HTML or image editing experience (Desired)
  • Customer service experience in any industry (Desired)
  • Advertising agency experience (a plus)
  • Experience with Google Analytics (a plus)
