Position: Associate Veterinarian

Job Summary:

As an Associate Veterinarian, you will work alongside a team of experienced veterinarians and support staff to provide high-quality medical care for a variety of small animal patients. You will have the opportunity to utilize your skills and knowledge in a fast-paced and collaborative environment, while also developing your own client base and building lasting relationships with pet owners.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct thorough physical examinations and diagnose and treat a variety of medical conditions in small animals
Perform surgeries, including routine spays and neuters, as well as more complex procedures
Develop treatment plans and communicate them effectively to clients, ensuring their understanding and compliance
Collaborate with other veterinarians and support staff to provide comprehensive and compassionate care for all patients
Maintain accurate and detailed medical records for all patients
Keep up-to-date with the latest advancements in veterinary medicine and procedures
Provide guidance and mentorship to veterinary technicians and support staff
Participate in on-call and emergency services as needed

Requirements:

Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited veterinary school
Active and unrestricted veterinary license in the state of employment
Minimum of 2 years of experience in a veterinary hospital setting
Strong surgical and medical skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work well in a team environment
Compassionate and empathetic towards both animals and their owners
Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
Ability to handle the physical demands of the job, including standing for extended periods, lifting and restraining animals, and performing surgeries
