- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York State (NY)
- Minimum 1 year of experience in behavioral health, psychiatric nursing, or mental health nursing
- BLS certification (American Heart Association) required
- Experience with behavioral health assessments, care planning, and medication administration
- Strong communication, de-escalation, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively in a multidisciplinary team (psychiatrists, social workers, therapists)
- Provide direct patient care to individuals with behavioral health and psychiatric needs in an inpatient setting
- Conduct behavioral health assessments, develop nursing care plans, implement interventions, and evaluate outcomes
- Administer and monitor medications; document patient responses and follow safety protocols
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and communicate changes in patient condition to the treatment team
- Participate in treatment planning, psychoeducation, and discharge planning for psychiatric patients
- Promote a safe, therapeutic environment using evidence-based de-escalation and safety practices
- Work in a supportive, multidisciplinary behavioral health team in Staten Island, NY
