Seasonal Yard Associate

This position is seasonal, working full-time approximately May through September with full benefits during that time.
As a Waterworks Yard Associate, you will fulfill many duties that help our yard and warehouse run smoothly. You will fill, package and ship orders in a timely manner to delight our customers while also ensuring product is received and handled correctly throughout its lifecycle through appropriate scheduling, communication and procedures.The yard team plays an important role in First Supply’s success and has a passion for customer service. Responsibilities:
- Receive, inspect, and stock incoming waterworks materials (pipe, fittings, valves, hydrants, etc.)
- Pull and stage orders for customer pickup or delivery
- Load and unload trucks using forklifts, yard equipment, or hand tools
- Maintain accurate inventory and assist with cycle counts
- Keep the yard and warehouse clean, organized, and safe
- Inspect materials for damage and report discrepancies
- Follow established safety procedures and PPE requirements
- Assist customers and drivers as needed
- Perform general yard and warehouse maintenance tasks
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Prior warehouse, yard, or construction materials experience a plus
- Ability to become certified to operate forklift equipment
- Basic computer or inventory system experience preferred
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
