Estimator/Project Manager - Competitive Salary + Company Car
Join our client, Watson Excavating as an Estimator/Project Manager in their family-owned, fast-growth, high-integrity company. Solid salary, company car and great benefits. Must live in commuting distance to Turbotville, PA and be willing to travel a 100-mile radius around the office.
Desired Experience- Preferred minimum 2 years’ experience with excavating
- Experience with estimating and bidding software
- Basic Math Skills (measuring and estimating)
- Knowledge of Project Management/Estimating processes and adherence to them
- Strong relationship-building skills
- Experience in the construction and trades industry
Job Responsibilities:
This position requires the candidate to handle projects from beginning to end. The candidate will be responsible for submitting estimates via bidding portals as well as being the main contact throughout the entire project. Work alongside General Contractors to ensure project stays on a specific timeline and meets high quality standards.This position requires someone with excellent customer service skills, knowledge of materials needed, awareness of production times and the ability to build and maintain quality relationships with key clients.
- Building relationships with GCs and clients
- Understand how clients conduct their bidding process
- Constant communication with clients and internal team
- Keep precise notes/records
- Estimating and project scheduling
- Becoming a Subject Matter Expert
- Read/Understand specs
- High School Diploma minimum, some college desired
- Valid Driver's License with no major violations
- Authorized to work in the United States
- Criminal background check to be run by client
