A well-established builder/developer headquartered in Midtown Manhattan is seeking an experienced Superintendent to lead field operations on high-end multifamily, mixed-use, and commercial projects throughout Northern NJ and NYC.
This role is ideal for a Superintendent who thrives in complex, urban environments and takes pride in delivering projects with exceptional quality, safety, and attention to detail.
What Youll Do- Lead all on-site construction activities from start through closeout
- Supervise subcontractors, vendors, and field staff across multiple trades
- Enforce safety programs in compliance with OSHA, local, and company standards
- Maintain project schedules, including short-interval and look-ahead planning
- Ensure work meets approved drawings, specifications, and quality expectations
- Coordinate inspections with NYC DOB, local jurisdictions, and third-party inspectors
- Lead subcontractor coordination meetings and document progress
- Track labor productivity, materials, and subcontractor performance
- Maintain daily reports, site photos, punch lists, and closeout documentation
- 7+ years of experience as a Superintendent on high-end multifamily, mixed-use, or commercial projects
- Strong knowledge of structural concrete, steel, faade systems, interiors, and MEP coordination
- Experience working in NYC and/or Northern New Jersey preferred
- Familiarity with NYC DOB requirements and urban site logistics
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and schedules
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency with Procore or similar construction management platforms
- OSHA 30 required
