Berwick, PA

On-Site Role

Compensation: $25-$27/hr (DOE)

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking a Data Center Solutions Lead Installation Technician to support a high-impact enhancement project at a Fortune 10 Hyperscale Cloud Services client's data centers in the Berwick, PA region. This fully onsite, initial one-month contract role (with potential for extension) is focused on modernizing and optimizing technical infrastructure to reinforce reliability, efficiency, and performance across the client's facilities.
As the on-site team leader, you will own the daily execution of field operations and serve as the primary point of accountability for team performance, quality assurance, and client-facing communication at the site level. This is an opportunity to step into a leadership capacity on a high-visibility engagement within world-class data centers, working in a dynamic, fast-paced, and physically demanding environment.
WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Manage daily team operations, including task assignments, briefings, and real-time problem-solving in response to field conditions
  • Interface directly with client contacts regarding daily scope, site access, escalations, and project status
  • Execute and oversee project tasks in accordance with technical drawings, ensuring all work meets client specifications and quality standards
  • Maintain accurate field documentation, including measurements, task logs, and equipment configurations; support site enhancements and layout adjustments as directed
  • Enforce safe tool usage, sustain a clean and organized work environment, and hold yourself and teammates accountable to quality and safety standards
  • Model professionalism, safety, and accountability as the on-site culture carrier
  • Provide coaching and mentorship to technicians, promoting a culture of safety and accountability
  • Maintain clear, professional communication with project stakeholders and client representatives
  • Strictly adhere to all client data center security protocols and PPE requirements; PPE will be provided, though personal composite toe footwear is encouraged
  • Demonstrate flexibility for client-mandated restricted or blocked workdays due to holidays or operational events; these will be communicated in advance and are unpaid
  • Lead a mobile, schedule-driven team rotating between multiple data center sites as required, with scheduling designed to minimize same-day travel
WHAT YOU BRING
  • Minimum 3-4 years of hands-on experience in data center infrastructure, construction, or related technical trade in a leadership capacity
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certifications a plus
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
  • Proficient with hand and power tools for fabrication, assembly, and installation; precise measurement skills
  • Demonstrated ability to lead a field team, including task delegation, performance accountability, and conflict resolution
  • Strong communication skills; comfortable interfacing directly with client contacts
  • Experience coordinating field activities and prioritizing work to meet project schedules
  • Ability to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve site issues with minimal supervision
  • Working knowledge of data center operating procedures and construction safety practices is a plus
  • Physically able to lift 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, work in elevated temperatures (90-120F), and operate in confined spaces, on ladders, and at heights
  • Strict adherence to data center security protocols and PPE requirements
  • Flexibility for client-mandated restricted or blocked workdays
WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU
  • Meaningful exposure to large-scale infrastructure delivery inside world-class data centers
  • Opportunity to step into a leadership role on a high-visibility project
  • Dynamic, fast-paced work environment with a focus on quality and safety
  • Potential for contract extension based on project needs and performance
