Structural Drafter
Structural CAD Drafter for a company that provides Transmission and Distribution products and services for the electrical power industry. Initial duties include structural steel detailing via AutoCAD, interpretation of construction plans and survey information, as well as daily problem solving.
Our client is located near Hoover, AL. This is a direct hire opportunity.

responsibilities:
- Work with and support Engineers by preparing CAD drawings
- Create structure shop drawings for fabrication and field assembly
- Determine information from construction plans
- Perform various drafting and detailing functions using AutoCAD software for various utility clients
- Generate civil, structural, and electrical drawings with assistance from the engineering team
- Will utilize AutoCad software to complete assigned projects
Required Qualifications:
- Must have at least two (2) years of experience
- Structural drafting experience
- Experience in an engineering, manufacturing or materials fabrication environment
- Must be proficient with AutoCAD
- Ability to prepare engineering drawings
