Description
American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist with 2+ years of experience for a weekend night shift position at a large Level I Trauma teaching hospital, requiring ARRT CT certification and experience with Siemens scanners.
Details- Short-term acute care hospital setting with 1,259 staffed beds, operating as a Level I Trauma Center and teaching facility
- Inpatient and outpatient CT scan department
- Procedures include abdomen, pelvis, head/neck, chest, spine, musculoskeletal, CTAs, and multiplanar reconstruction
- Preferred procedures include aspirations/biopsies, brain perfusion, colonography, CT arthrography, drainage, myelography, and transplant studies
- All Siemens scanners in use
- Charting via Epic
- 4x10 hour weekend night shifts, Saturday through Tuesday, 8:00 PM to 6:30 AM
- No on-call required
- May float within clinical scope per facility policy; no floating to sister facilities required
- Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible
- Minimum of 2 years of CT Technologist experience
- ARRT CT certification required at time of consideration
- Current BLS certification required
- Valid MO State License required at time of consideration; license required if applicable
- Experience in both inpatient and outpatient settings required
- Proficiency with PACS and contrast administration required
- Experience with IV starts, portables, and biopsies preferred
- Siemens scanner experience preferred
- Level I Trauma, teaching hospital, community hospital, or Adult ICU experience preferred
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Scrubs in black, red, or white are required
- RTO is limited to no more than 7 days per 13-week contract, with no RTO during the first week of orientation
- Travelers may remain at this facility for up to 12 months, after which a 6-month break in service is required before returning
- Former permanent employees must wait 1 year before returning to any facility in this health system as a traveler
- Parking passes are available for purchase through the facility's Public Safety department; straight night shift workers park at no charge in employee parking
