Description
American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Cardiovascular Unit position requiring cardiac stepdown experience, night shift availability, and an active TN or compact RN license.
Details- 36-bed Cardiovascular Unit in a hospital setting
- Cardiac and neuro stepdown patient population, including cardiac bedside monitoring, cardiac drips, TR bands, post-heart cath patients, stroke/neuro patients, and BIPAP overflow cases
- Patients range from young adults through late adults (ages 18–60+)
- Nurse-to-patient ratio of 6:1
- Variable staffing model including RNs, LPNs, PCTs, and Nurse Interns; the RN assumes full responsibility for the patient team
- Night shift: 18:45–07:15
- 13-week contract
- Active RN license — TN state license or compact RN license required
- Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
- Current BLS certification (AHA only)
- Current ACLS certification (AHA only)
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required
- Successful completion of a proctored rhythm test required
- Must possess a US Social Security Number and provide a valid US home address
- Driver's License required for consideration
- Two professional references required for consideration
- Provide nursing care to cardiac and neuro stepdown patients, including management of cardiac drips and post-procedural monitoring
