Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a NICU Transport position in the Seattle area, requiring ground transport experience and night shift availability.
Details- Role is based in a hospital NICU Transport unit serving the greater Seattle area
- Responsible for ground transportation of neonatal and pediatric patients from surrounding hospitals, ERs, and L&D/NICU units to a higher level of care facility
- Works alongside a transport team including a Respiratory Therapist (RT) and an Advanced Practice Provider (APP)
- Schedule: 3x12-hour night shifts (1900–0700)
- Every other weekend required
- No on-call responsibilities
- May float to work as a bedside nurse in the NICU, PICU, or general Pediatrics units
- EMR: Epic (experience required)
- Active WA RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
- Required certifications: BLS, NRP, and PALS
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience required
- Ground transportation experience required
- Charge nurse experience preferred
- Epic EMR experience required
- All travelers are expected to float between facilities within the state; refusal to float may result in assignment termination
- Former permanent staff of Swedish facilities must be separated for at least 3 months and must reside more than 50 miles from the facility before being eligible as a traveler; former permanent staff of other Providence (non-Swedish) facilities are eligible after a 3-month separation
- Candidates must provide a minimum of 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty or setting
- SSN and DOB required for consideration
- Active professional license required at time of consideration
- All required certifications must be current and on file for consideration
