Job Details- Location: Savannah, GA 31405 (Coastal Georgia)
- Role: Registered Nurse (RN) – LTAC / Long-Term Acute Care Nurse
- Assignment Type: Travel Nurse / Travel Assignment

- Duration: 13 weeks
- Shift: 12-hour day shifts (3 shifts per week)
- Hours per Week: 36
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,750 – $1,840
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the United States (state-specific licensure preferred)
- BLS Certification (required prior to first shift)
- ACLS Certification (required prior to first shift)
- Minimum of 1 year of recent bedside clinical experience; 2 years preferred
- Experience in LTAC, long-term acute care, ventilator care, step-down, or similar acute care settings is preferred
- Strong clinical assessment, documentation, and care-planning skills
- Perform comprehensive nursing assessments within 8 hours of patient admission and develop individualized LTAC care plans
- Provide direct patient care for medically complex patients, including ventilator care, tracheostomy management, wound care, and skilled nursing needs
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (physicians, therapists, case managers) to set rehabilitation goals and coordinate continuity of care
- Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately and in a timely manner according to facility and regulatory requirements
- Initiate discharge planning and patient/family teaching from the day of admission to support safe transitions of care
- Communicate changes in patient status to the care team to ensure patient safety and quality outcomes
- Supervise and provide direction to Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), and orientees as needed
- Promote and maintain a safe clinical environment by following infection control and safety protocols
- Assume charge nurse responsibilities after orientation when needed and contribute to unit-based quality improvement initiatives
- Engage in ongoing professional development and continuing education to maintain LTAC nursing competencies
