About Our Client

Our client is a General Contractor based out of Philadelphia. They have a large diverse portfolio ranging from office, healthcare, warehouse, retail and hi-tech projects. Our client gets 75% of their business from existing relationship and repeat clients.

As an organically grown company, they are seeking ambitious Superintendent who want to move up the ladder in the future. Project will range from sub-$1M interiors projects up to $35M ground up work.

Job Description

The Superintendent - Commercial Construction - Philadelphia will be responsible for the following:

  • Meet weekly and communicate daily with subcontractors to assess project progress, schedule, changes and deliveries. Manage the site through completion.
  • Proactively identify design deficiencies, schedule concerns, and other project specific issues.
  • Ensure construction is performed in accordance with all company safety policies and quality control procedures
  • Attain a thorough and complete understanding of the Prime Contract, all subcontracts, the drawings, and specifications.
  • Enforce safety protocols to ensure job site consistently meets or exceeds OSHA safety standards.
  • Maintain appropriate documentation throughout the project including change order logs, RFI logs, and submittal lots.
  • Communicate daily with owners, tenant reps, construction managers, superintendents and project coordinators to ensure progress toward the common goal is achieved.

The Successful Applicant

The successful Superintendent - Commercial Construction - Philadelphia will ideally have the following:

  • 5+ years as a construction superintendent
  • Experience leading ground up commercail projects
  • Comfortable leading projects and managing a large team
  • Strong oral communication and written skills
  • OSHA certification
  • Bachelors or Associates degree preferred, but not required
