Maintenance Worker

Compensation: $20 per hour

You will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing building structures and systems-including plumbing, electrical wiring and fixtures, machinery, equipment, electronics, vehicles, and grounds.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Maintain and repair the physical structure of the facility to ensure safe and secure operations
- Inspect, diagnose, and repair machines and equipment
- Install and repair electrical apparatus, including wiring and electronic components of machinery and equipment
- Perform preventative maintenance on equipment according to the preventative maintenance plan
- Supervise and track inmates/residents assigned to the Maintenance Department
- Maintain and repair plumbing, fixtures, machinery, equipment, electronics, vehicles, and grounds as needed
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and facility policies during all maintenance activities
- Document maintenance activities and report issues or hazards to management
- High School diploma, GED certification, or equivalent required
- Two years of experience in general maintenance or construction required
- Technical or trade school courses in maintenance or construction may substitute for experience on a year-for-year basis
- Knowledge of building construction and operation of building systems preferred
- Valid driver's license required
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
