Position Summary
Ascension Health is seeking a skilled Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to support inpatient acute care services at St. John Sapulpa. This role is ideal for a clinician who thrives in a fast-paced hospital environment and is committed to delivering high-quality patient care as part of a collaborative healthcare team.
Schedule- Shift: Day Shift
- Hours: 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM
- Weekly Hours: 40
- On-Call: Not required
- Assist in delivering medically prescribed physical therapy treatments
- Perform ongoing patient assessments and report progress to supervising therapists
- Implement individualized care plans developed by the Physical Therapist
- Guide patients through therapeutic exercises and functional mobility training
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans and recovery strategies
- Accurately document patient progress and treatment outcomes
- Support safe patient handling and adherence to clinical protocols
- Apply standard physical therapy techniques appropriate to patient condition
- Monitor patient responses and adjust interventions within scope
- Maintain compliance with safety and infection control standards
- Utilize personal protective equipment (PPE) per standard precautions
- Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
- Active or eligible PTA license in Oklahoma
- Previous inpatient or acute care experience preferred
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and documentation skills
