Location: Davie, FL 33328Compensation: $42.36 – $62.00/hr (DOE)
Position Overview
"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is Seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join a high-performing Labor & Delivery unit focused on providing exceptional maternal and newborn care. This role requires strong clinical judgment, the ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced acute care environment, and a commitment to delivering patient- and family-centered care throughout labor, delivery, and postpartum recovery.
The ideal candidate will have experience in obstetrics, fetal monitoring, neonatal stabilization, and emergency response, with a strong emphasis on safety, communication, and teamwork.
Key Responsibilities
Maternal & Newborn Care- Provide comprehensive nursing care to laboring, delivery, and postpartum patients
- Monitor maternal and fetal status throughout all stages of labor
- Assist physicians and clinical teams during deliveries and obstetric procedures
- Administer medications and evaluate patient responses to treatment plans
- Support immediate newborn care and stabilization following delivery
- Interpret fetal heart rate monitoring and escalate concerns appropriately
- Respond promptly to obstetric emergencies and rapid changes in patient condition
- Adhere to all labor and delivery clinical protocols and safety standards
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including OB providers and neonatal staff
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
- Educate patients and families on labor, delivery, postpartum recovery, and newborn care
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education activities
Required Qualifications
Education- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (BSN preferred)
- Active Florida RN license or compact RN license eligible for Florida practice
- Basic Life Support (BLS) – required or obtainable within 30 days
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) – required or obtainable within 30 days
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) – required or obtainable within 90 days
- STABLE certification – required or obtainable within 60 months
- Intermediate or Advanced Fetal Monitoring certification – required or obtainable within 60 months
- Prior Labor & Delivery nursing experience strongly preferred
- Knowledge of obstetric emergencies and fetal monitoring interpretation
- Strong communication, critical thinking, and multitasking skills
- Ability to work effectively in high-acuity, fast-paced clinical environments
