Job Details- Position: Intermediate Welder
- Shift: Monday–Thursday | 1st Shift: 5:00 AM – 3:00 PM | 2nd Shift: 3:00 PM – 1:00 AM
- Pay Rate: $23.37 – $27.31 per hour (based on experience) + Shift Differential for 2nd Shift
- Assignment Type: Temp to Hire
- Interview Type: In‑Person
What You’ll Do
As an Intermediate Welder, you will set up and operate multiple welding processes while meeting quality and productivity standards. Your work will directly support the production of high‑quality industrial products.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Perform MIG, TIG, and resistance welding operations
- Assist entry‑level welders with interpreting production orders, layouts, and engineering drawings (blueprints)
- Layout, fit, and fabricate metal components such as frames and structural parts
- Perform additional operations including grinding and spatter removal
- Troubleshoot, perform setup/changeovers, and adjust processes as needed
- Meet established efficiency, quality, and safety standards within the first 3 months
- Measure weld length, size, and pitch to meet print tolerances and minimize scrap
- Perform 3 or more welding processes proficiently within department standards
- Promote and participate in continuous improvement initiatives on the shop floor
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Must pass a written and hands‑on welding assessment
- General sheet metal or vocational training preferred
- Routinely lift up to 40 lbs.
- Stand for extended periods with frequent bending, stooping, squatting, and lifting
- Strong manual dexterity required
- Vision requirements include close, distance, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
- Steel‑toed boots required (must be provided by the worker and worn during interviews and orientation)
- Additional PPE provided onsite (gloves, safety glasses, sleeves, hearing protection, etc.)
- Clean, professional appearance required

Pay Details: $23.37 to $28.61 per hour
