Job Description
  • Assist the Project Manager and Superintendent with overall project planning, coordination, and execution.
  • Prepare, track, and manage RFIs, submittals, shop drawings, and meeting minutes.
  • Support project scheduling, including updating look‑ahead schedules and monitoring progress against the master schedule.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, architects, and engineers to ensure timely delivery of materials and information.
  • Review drawings, specifications, and scopes of work to identify constructability issues or conflicts.
  • Maintain project documentation, logs, and reports to ensure contract compliance and accurate record keeping.
  • Assist with procurement activities, including issuing purchase orders and tracking material lead times.
  • Conduct site walk throughs to verify work in place, quality standards, and adherence to safety policies.
  • Help manage change events by gathering pricing, performing quantity takeoffs, and assisting with change order processing.
  • Support cost control by reviewing invoices, monitoring quantities, and updating budget tracking tools.
  • Participate in OAC, subcontractor, and internal project meetings; document and distribute action items.
  • Assist in punch list development, closeout documentation, and turnover packages at project completion.
  • Promote and uphold company safety standards, quality expectations, and professional conduct on the jobsite.

The Successful Applicant
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related construction field preferred.
  • 1-3 years of relevant experience in commercial construction, internships included.
  • Strong understanding of construction documents, including plans, specifications, and submittals.
  • Solid grasp of basic construction sequencing, materials, and building systems.
  • Proficient in common project‑management and construction software (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam, MS Office, scheduling tools).
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks, logs, and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively with project managers, superintendents, subcontractors, and design teams.
  • Detail‑oriented with a proactive approach to problem‑solving.
  • Comfortable taking ownership of tasks and following through to completion.
  • Able to work both in the office and on active construction sites.
  • Team‑oriented mindset with a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
