- Assignment Length: 13 weeks (Start: 5/4/2026 – End: 8/3/2026)
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,000 – $2,100
- Role: ICU Registered Nurse (RN) – Cardiac ICU / CVICU (Critical Care Nurse)
- Shift: Nights, 3x12-hour shifts (18:00 – 06:30); 36 hours/week
- Unit: Cardiac ICU — 20 beds, 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio
- Setting: Acute Care Hospital, Level II Trauma Center
- Charting: Cerner

- Minimum 2 years recent ICU experience; Cardiac ICU or CVICU experience preferred
- Active Illinois RN license required at time of submission (compact license not accepted unless active in IL)
- Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS (AHA or Red Cross only)
- Proficiency in cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation, and emergency response
- Experience with ventilator management, arterial and central line care, and titration of vasoactive/cardiac drips
- Advanced IV therapy skills and blood product administration
- Ability to float to similar units as needed and work every other weekend; must work 2 out of 3 major holidays
- Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions accepted); COVID-19 vaccine not required
- Provide comprehensive, evidence-based care to critically ill adult cardiac and multi-system patients
- Interpret and manage dysrhythmias, perform 12-lead EKGs, and respond to cardiac emergencies including code blue situations
- Care for patients pre- and post-cardiac catheterization and interventional procedures
- Administer and titrate cardiac/vasoactive drips, continuous IV sedation, and emergency medications safely
- Manage ventilated patients (including BiPAP, CPAP, and high-flow nasal cannula) and oversee ventilator care
- Perform arterial and central line management, PICC care, and assist with invasive monitoring
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including respiratory therapy, IV team, and rapid response
- Maintain strict infection prevention standards and participate in quality improvement initiatives
- Float to other units within scope to support facility operations when needed
