Short Description:
The Phlebotomist/EKG technician is the primary person responsible for:
- Collecting laboratory specimens and performing EKGs on patients treated in the outpatient setting, including off site locations and nursing homes.
- Collecting laboratory specimens from hospital inpatients.
Patients range in age from newborn through older adult.
Experience Required:
- 2 years' experience required.
Education Requirements:
High School/GED required.
Vocational/Technical School preferred.
License/Certification Requirements:
Formal Phlebotomy or Medical Assistant Certification preferred.
Salary Min ($): USD $17.50
Salary Max ($): USD $27.00
