Position Overview

Pay: $55,000.00 - $60,000 per year

Job Type: Full-time/ Minimum 50 hours per week

Must have reliable transportation and willing and able to travel across the Houston Area.

The Director of Training is responsible for developing, implementing, and leading all

training systems across the organization. This role ensures consistent

execution of brand standards, operational excellence, and revenue growth through effective

team development and high-performing training programs.

This position plays a critical role in supporting new store openings, developing future leaders,
and driving top-line sales. The Director must be highly organized,

hands-on, and adaptable in a fast-paced, growth-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Training & Development
  • Design, implement, and continuously improve company-wide training programs for all positions (crew members to management)
  • Create and maintain training materials, SOPs, and operational playbooks
  • Lead onboarding and certification processes for new hires and management teams
  • Support and execute training for new store openings
  • Conduct in-store training audits to ensure consistency and adherence to brand standards
  • Develop leadership pipelines by coaching and mentoring managers into higher-level roles
  • Ensure all employees are trained on updated systems, procedures, and expectations
Operations & Brand Standards
  • Ensure all training processes align with company brand standards
  • Partner with operations leadership to improve store performance and efficiency
  • Identify gaps in execution and implement corrective training solutions
  • Standardize processes across all locations to support scalability
  • Assist in developing new systems, workflows, and operational improvements
Leadership & Accountability
  • Lead by example with a hands-on, solution-oriented approach
  • Hold store leadership teams accountable for training completion
  • Travel between locations as needed to support training initiatives
  • Adapt to changing business needs and take on additional responsibilities as required
  • Play a key role in supporting the company’s rapid growth and expansion
Success Metrics (KPIs)
  • Training completion and certification rates across all locations
  • Store performance improvements tied to training initiatives
  • Order accuracy, timeliness, and customer satisfaction/reviews
  • Successful execution of new store training and openings
  • Internal promotion and leadership development rates

Additional Expectations

This role requires a high level of ownership, accountability, and adaptability. Responsibilities

may evolve as the company grows, and the Director is expected to take initiative in developing

new systems, improving processes, and supporting overall business objectives.

Requirements

Experience
  • Minimum 2–5 years in a leadership role focused on training, learning & development, or operations.
  • Multi-unit or corporate restaurant experience strongly preferred.
Training & Development Expertise
  • Proven ability to design, implement, and scale training programs across multiple locations.
  • Experience developing onboarding, leadership development, and skills-based training initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of adult learning principles and instructional design.
  • Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and e-learning platforms.
Operational Knowledge
  • Deep understanding of restaurant operations, including front-of-house (FOH) and back-of-house (BOH) functions.
  • Ability to align training programs with operational goals, KPIs, and brand standards.
  • Experience standardizing processes and driving consistency across locations.
Leadership & Management Skills
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and develop training teams and field leaders.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to influence senior leadership and cross-functional teams.
Communication Skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong presentation and facilitation skills, both in-person and virtual.
  • Ability to simplify complex concepts into engaging training content.
Analytical & Strategic Thinking
  • Ability to assess training effectiveness using data and performance metrics.
  • Experience identifying gaps and implementing continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Strategic mindset with a focus on long-term talent development and retention.
Technology & Tools
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
  • Experience with LMS platforms, HRIS systems, and training analytics tools.
  • Familiarity with digital training content creation tools is a plus.
