Software Engineer - Robotics & Automation
Kforce's client in Long Island City, NY is seeking a Software Engineer with 2-5 years of experience to join a growing Robotics & Automation team. In this role, the Engineer will help build scalable, intelligent automation solutions that streamline complex business processes and support critical operational workflows.

What You'll Do:- Design, develop, and maintain Java-based applications, APIs, and microservices
- Build automation platforms, event-driven services, and workflow solutions
- Integrate applications across multiple systems and data sources
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and improve production systems and automation performance
- Work with business stakeholders and technical teams to solve complex challenges
- Analyze operational data and contribute to continuous process improvement
- 2-5 years of software engineering experience
- Strong Java and Spring Boot development skills
- Experience with REST APIs, microservices, and SQL
- Familiarity with event-driven or distributed systems
- Cloud experience (Azure, AWS, or similar) preferred
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work collaboratively and take ownership of solutions
- Airline, travel, or transportation industry experience is a plus but not required
