Electrical Maintenance Technician (Nights) Role Overview: We are seeking a skilled Electrical Maintenance Technician to join our night shift team (6 PM – 6 AM) on a "4 on, 4 off" rotating schedule. This role is critical to ensuring plant reliability, troubleshooting complex automated systems, and maintaining both production machinery and facility infrastructure.
Compensation: $36.00 – $40.00 / hour
Core Technical Requirements- PLC Expertise: Must have proven experience troubleshooting and diagnosing industrial controllers using RSLogix 5, 500, 5000 and/or Siemens Step 7.
- Electrical Systems: Proficiency in repairing and maintaining AC/DC drives, HMIs, motors, switches, relays, circuit breakers, and complex communication systems.
- Schematics & Diagnostics: Ability to interpret detailed electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to locate and fix system failures.
- Mechanical Aptitude: Experience with pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and general mechanical repairs (lubrication, part replacement, and precision measurement).
- Installation: Skilled in measuring, cutting, bonding, and installing electrical conduit and performing complex wiring assignments.
- Emergency Response: Provide rapid-response troubleshooting for unplanned downtime events on production lines.
- Preventative Maintenance: Execute strict PM schedules to minimize equipment failure and improve overall reliability.
- Project Support: Assist engineering teams with capital projects, equipment installations, and system upgrades.
- Safety & Compliance: Maintain a safety-first mindset, adhering to OSHA regulations, LOTO (Lockout/Tagout) procedures, and plant environmental policies.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate repair logs and shift metrics, including breakdown analysis and downtime reporting.
- Experience: 3–5 years of industrial maintenance experience (5–8 years preferred).
- Education: Associates Degree in Industrial Maintenance, Automated Manufacturing, or a Journeyman’s Card is highly preferred.
- Skills: Computer literacy and the ability to interface with both technical and non-technical staff.
- Physical: Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 lbs.
- Availability: Must be able to work the night shift (C shift) and be flexible for overtime as production needs require.
