About the Opportunity
Flying Blooms is a luxury floral and gifting concept designed for travelers “in motion.” As we prepare for the global energy of the FIFA World Cup, we are launching a high-visibility pop-up floral boutique inside the airport.
We are seeking creative, customer-focused Provisional Leaders/Florists who thrive in fast-paced environments and can deliver beautiful, high-quality arrangements with efficiency and style. Position Overview
The Lead Florist will be responsible for managing the staff and inventory and designing and preparing floral arrangements, maintaining product displays, and delivering exceptional customer service to travelers. This role requires organization, flexibility, artistry and speed, with a strong focus on presentation, inventory care, and guest engagement.
Key Responsibilities- Leadership skills
- Design and assemble fresh, dried, and preserved floral arrangements for retail sale
- Maintain visually appealing displays that reflect the Flying Blooms brand
- Provide elevated, friendly customer service to a diverse, international clientele
- Assist customers with product selection, gifting ideas, and packaging for travel
- Ensure proper care and handling of floral inventory to maintain freshness and quality
- Restock merchandise and maintain clean, organized work and display areas
- Support daily opening and closing procedures
- Operate POS system and handle transactions accurately
- Adapt quickly to high-volume periods and shifting customer flow
- Prior experience in floral design, retail, or hospitality preferred
- Strong eye for design, color, and presentation
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift light to moderate items
- Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Experience in high-traffic retail environments (airports, events, pop-ups)
- Knowledge of preserved or non-traditional floral products

JOB CODITIONS:
In a retail setting, florists must also ensure that the layout of their floral displays is attractive and inviting to customers. This could involve creating different seasonal or event-specific displays, using lighting and signage to direct customers, and creating a welcoming atmosphere through the use of scents and arrangements.
JOB REQUIRMENTS
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or its equivalency
- 1 year florist experience is preferred
- 1 year customer service experience
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:
- Must pass pre-employment drug test.
- Must pass criminal history check.
- Must pass physical

Physical Requirements:
Physical requirements include occasional lifting/carrying 25 pounds; visual acuity, speech and hearing; hand and eye coordination and manual dexterity necessary to operate two-way radio and data management. Subject to walking, standing, sitting, and kneeling to perform essential functions.Working conditions are primarily inside with limited exposure to temperature extremes, dust, damp/wet surfaces, and high noise levels.
