A medical office is seeking a Medical Assistant to work Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Job Responsibilities:
Assist patients to exam rooms and obtain complete and accurate vital signsObtain and document all pertinent information in patients charts using EHR system prior to examination
Anticipate and assist in minor surgical procedures
Maintain timely patient flow, room availability, patient safety, and confidentiality
Clean, stock, and maintain exam rooms, and participate in clinic duties; clean and sterilize instruments and ordering supplies
Maintain and monitor all equipment used for patient care and testing and report any discrepancy to supervisor
Ensure appropriate handling and accurate documentation of all medications ordered by the provider
Timely follow through with all referrals generated
Job Requirements
Job Qualifications:
Bilingual English/Spanish preferredMust have 1 year of on-the-job training in back office procedures
Knowledge of medical terminology and knowledge of CPT/ICD 10 is needed
Must be computer literate with experience with EMR/EHR
Must be able to pay strict attention to detail while multi-tasking efficiently and effectively
Must be able to understand and observe legal concepts; HIPAA, confidentiality, etc.
Must have the ability to work under pressure within time constraints and to act calmly and effectively in a busy or stressful situation
Must be able to exhibit a professional and positive demeanor at all timesOnly candidates that can pass a background check and drug screen will be considered.
