Description
American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Medical/Surgical Telemetry position in Washington, DC, requiring a minimum of 2 years of Med/Surg Tele experience and active DC RN licensure.
Details- Department 6200 of an acute care hospital setting
- Medical/Surgical Telemetry patient population
- Schedule is three 12-hour day shifts per week (36 hours/week)
- 13-week contract
- Active DC RN license required (no pending licenses accepted)
- Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) — AHA-issued certifications only
- CPI certification required for this position
- Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg Tele experience in a U.S. hospital required
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
- Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program required
- BSN highly desired
- Cerner EMR experience required
- Active U.S. SSN required
- Date of birth required for consideration
- Two manager or supervisor references preferred, verifying experience within the previous 12 months, with at least one from the most recent employer
- Performs initial and ongoing patient assessments, including review of systems, and documents findings per policy
- Delivers age-appropriate, competent care by interpreting patient information and determining appropriate nursing interventions
- Completes admission assessments within established timeframes in accordance with policy and procedures
- Candidates must reside more than 25 miles from the facility to be eligible for this travel position
- All certifications submitted must be AHA-issued
