Job Description

This role will report directly into the General Manager and be responsible for
  • Overseeing overall site operations in partnership with the Production Manager
  • Providing leadership across quality, shipping and receiving, purchasing, and accounting functions
  • Ensuring quality standards are being maintained and continuously improved
  • Supporting efficient production flow and resolving operational issues as they arise
  • Building strong, visible relationships with shop-floor personnel
  • Addressing performance concerns, employee relations issues, and escalation points within operations
  • Collaborating with engineering through a dotted-line relationship to support manufacturability and execution
  • Working closely with the Accounting/Finance Manager on operational inputs to P&L performance
  • Supporting continuous improvement initiatives to offset high operating costs

The Successful Applicant

The successful candidate will have
  • Proven leadership experience in an operations or manufacturing management role
  • Background in metal fabrication, machining, or contract manufacturing environments
  • Strong ability to engage and communicate effectively with shop-floor teams
  • Experience leading indirect and support functions in a manufacturing setting
  • Hands-on, team-oriented leadership style
  • Ability to manage change in a transitioning or restructuring organization
  • Solid understanding of quality, logistics, and production support functions
