Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a travel Emergency Department position at an acute care hospital in Florida, requiring 2.5 years of ED experience, prior travel assignments, and neuro/stroke background.
Details- Work setting is a 210-bed acute care hospital Emergency Department
- Night shift schedule: 4x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- Patient ratio of 1:6
- Every other weekend required
- Floating required within scope of practice
- Block scheduling considered on a case-by-case basis
- Charting is done in Meditech
- Free parking available in any unrestricted space
- Active FL or Compact RN license required
- Current certifications required: ACLS, BLS, NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS), and PALS; TNCC preferred
- Minimum 2.5 years of ED experience required
- Minimum 1 year of neuro/stroke experience required
- Minimum 2 prior travel assignments required
- Experience with Level 1 resuscitation patients required
- Must reside more than 30 miles from the facility
- Two professional supervisor references from within the past 2 years required for consideration
- Full 7-year work history with all gaps explained required for consideration
- Provides emergency nursing care including management of Level 1 resuscitation patients
- Scrubs must be any solid color — no t-shirts, sweatshirts, or apparel with logos from other organizations
- Holiday coverage is required: if 1–2 holidays fall within the assignment, traveler must work 1 holiday eve and 1 holiday; if 3 holidays fall within the assignment, traveler must work 1 holiday eve and 2 holidays
- RTO is limited to no more than 10 days and requires an additional 2 weeks added to the assignment; no RTO during the first or last week of the assignment
- All time-off and scheduling requests must be submitted upfront
