Job Responsibilities:- Design of concise, testable safety requirements or providing safety analysis of existing requirements
- Performing System Safety Program or Design analyses
- Placement in challenging or under-performing programs with the expectation of improvement of the safety program
- Managing multiple-large system safety programs or a safety product line
- Collaborating with other disciplines during program technical execution
- Interfacing with key stakeholders (e.g.
- Mentoring Multiple Jr.
- Preparing Safety Assessment Reports and Safety Program Briefs for Customer Approval
- Streamlining processes and reports across a product line for improved efficiency
- Briefing safety of the program at technical reviews and as part of the safety approval process
- Interpreting system requirements, customer specifications and military standards
- Preparing internal and customer reports describing various analyses relevant to the System Safety program
- Collaborating across multiple disciplines to gain a full understanding of product architecture and design On-Site Means they will be working at a Raytheon Facility.
- Typically Requires: Bachelors degree and 8 years of relevant experience OR an Associate's degree and 10 years of relevant experience OR an advanced degree in a related field and minimum 5 years' experience.
- Experience with: System Safety Engineering, System Engineering, Software or Firmware Engineering, or equivalent Safety Engineering experience in areas such as Aerospace, Automotive or Medical Device.
- The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance.
- System thinking and the desire to influence the program as a whole
- Experience with industry System Safety Programs (especially in DoD or Aerospace fields)
- Strong written, verbal and presentation skills
- Strong interpersonal and project management skills, with the ability to manage a safety program and provide direction to supporting safety personnel
- Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)
- Experience working with US Military programs
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
