About Our Client

Our client is a boutique construction firm specializing in small to mid-size commercial interior projects across New Jersey. Their portfolio includes work in medical offices, hospital lobbies, institutional and religious facilities, retail, restaurants, and multifamily properties, with interiors serving as their core focus.

The firm operates as a close-knit team and is entering a growth phase. Leadership is seeking a senior-level professional who can bring an existing book of business to help scale the organization and continually establish a strong market presence.

Job Description
  • Leverage an existing New Jersey-based book of business to generate new project opportunities
  • Develop and maintain relationships with developers, owners, brokers, and industry stakeholders
  • Lead business development efforts from initial outreach through contract execution
  • Oversee project lifecycle including pre-construction, execution, and delivery
  • Collaborate directly with the owner to shape growth strategy and revenue goals
  • Ensure projects are delivered on schedule, within budget, and to quality standards
  • Represent the company in the marketplace and strengthen brand recognition in NJ

The Successful Applicant
  • Proven experience in business development within commercial interiors construction in New Jersey
  • Established book of business and strong local relationships
  • Experience managing projects across commercial interiors sectors (healthcare, retail, institutional, etc.)
  • Entrepreneurial and self-driven, comfortable working in a remote team environment
  • Strong communication and client management skills
  • Previous ownership or leadership of a smaller interiors construction business is an asset
