Job Details- On-Call: One weekend per month (24 hours SAT/SUN) plus two 8-hour weekday on-call shifts
- Holiday Requirement: Must work 1 of 2 or 2 of 3 holidays as scheduled
- Scrubs: Hospital provided
- Floats: Must be able to float to Main OR for Ortho & General cases
- Minimum 2.5 years of recent CVOR RN experience (cardiac surgery/cardiovascular operating room experience)
- Active NJ RN license or Compact RN license required at time of submission
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
- EPIC charting experience required
- Ability to circulate required; scrub experience preferred
- Transplant experience (cardiac, lung, and/or kidney) highly preferred
- References required
- Provide perioperative nursing care for cardiovascular, thoracic, and transplant surgeries in a hybrid CVOR/OR environment
- Circulate and, if able, scrub for complex procedures including valve replacement, CABG, TAVR, aortic aneurysm repair, dissection, and VATS
- Support vascular procedures such as endovascular AAA repair, carotid endarterectomy, arteriogram, angiogram, TCAR, AV fistula creation, and fem-pop bypass graft
- Float to Main OR as needed for general, laparoscopic, GYN, robotic, ortho/neuro, vascular, and pediatric cases
- Participate in on-call rotation and holiday coverage as scheduled
- Maintain accurate documentation using EPIC and ensure compliance with perioperative standards
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality patient outcomes in cardiac and vascular surgery
- Experienced travel nurse or permanent CVOR RN seeking a high-volume cardiac surgery assignment
- Strong clinical judgment, excellent communication, and teamwork skills in fast-paced perioperative settings
- Comfortable with advanced cardiac and transplant cases and adaptable to floating between specialty ORs
