P-Speech Language Pathologist

Facility: 77 bed facility

As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will work with elderly patients to help them improve their communication and swallowing abilities.

Responsibilities:

• Evaluate and diagnose speech, language, and swallowing disorders in geriatric patients
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients
• Use evidence-based techniques and approaches to improve communication and swallowing abilities
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care for patients
• Educate patients and their families on techniques and strategies to improve communication and swallowing
• Document patient progress and maintain accurate records
• Stay updated on latest research and techniques in the field of speech language pathology

Requirements:

• Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology
• Valid state license to practice as a Speech Language Pathologist
• Minimum of 2 years of experience working with geriatric patients
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care
• Knowledge of evidence-based techniques and approaches in speech language pathology
