Position Summary:- We are seeking an experienced Biomedical Technician to join our Clinical Engineering / Biomed Department in a teaching/Magnet facility environment.
- This is an onsite role responsible for maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting a wide range of biomedical equipment to support safe and efficient patient care.
- The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise, hospital-based biomedical experience, and the ability to work collaboratively with clinical staff and engineering teams. Weekend work and floating within the hospital may be required as needed.
- Associate’s Degree (AA) or equivalent from a 2-year college/technical school
- Minimum 5 years of biomedical technician experience in a hospital setting
- Strong knowledge of medical equipment, electronics, and troubleshooting
- Ability to read schematics, diagrams, and service documentation
- Basic computer skills
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- OR/Surgery equipment experience (required for early shift role)
- Experience with complex biomedical systems and life-support equipment
- Advanced troubleshooting and component-level repair experience
- Maintain, repair, and troubleshoot biomedical equipment
- Perform preventive maintenance and inspections
- Work with schematics, blueprints, and service documentation
- Support life-support and clinical/OR equipment
- Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards
- Collaborate with clinical staff and engineering teams
