Behavior Technician (ABA) - Seyler Elementary School Location: Seyler Elementary School Address: Perkasie, PA 18944 Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM-3:50 PM Reports To: BCBA / Supervisor Grade Level Supported: 1st Grade Position Overview The Behavior Technician provides direct 1:1 behavioral support to a first‑grade student with behavioral needs.
This role focuses on implementing Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) strategies to build communication, social, and daily living skills while reducing challenging behaviors. The ideal candidate can follow ABA protocols, provide consistent reinforcement, and collaborate effectively with the supervising BCBA and classroom team.
The student is described as fun, engaging, and highly responsive to positive interaction. Key Responsibilities * Build and maintain a therapeutic rapport by pairing with the student and establishing yourself as a reinforcing, positive presence.

- Implement ABA‑based interventions to teach communication, social, and problem‑solving skills.
- Prompt and model safe, appropriate replacement behaviors; fade prompts to encourage independence.
- Deliver reinforcement to increase appropriate behaviors, including access to preferred items, attention, or breaks.
- Collect accurate behavior data (A‑B‑C, frequency, duration, latency, interval recording, etc.).
- Follow treatment plans and intervention strategies as directed by the BCBA and classroom team.
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and support staff to ensure consistent implementation across environments.
- Provide parent education on reinforcement strategies and early intervention principles.
- Maintain professional boundaries and operate within the scope of the Behavior Technician role.
- Participate in reassessment processes as needed. Qualifications * Completion of at least two years of coursework in psychology, education, social work, behavioral science, human development, or a related field.
- Current Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification issued by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB). Pre‑Employment Requirements * PA State Police Clearance (Act 34)
