Description
American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an Emergency Department position at an acute care hospital, with ACLS, PALS, and NIH certifications required and experience caring for both adult and pediatric patients.
Details- Work in the Emergency Department of a 233-bed acute care hospital
- Mixed adult and pediatric patient population — travelers must be comfortable caring for both
- Patient ratio of 1:4
- Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:30)
- Every 3rd weekend required
- No on-call requirements
- No floating required
- Charting via Epic (experience required)
- Free parking on-site
- Navy scrubs required
- Active MO RN license or compact equivalent required; must be valid and in hand at time of consideration
- Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
- Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
- Experience caring for both adult and pediatric ED patients required
- Experience with Glucostabilizer required
- Epic EMR experience required
- Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- RTO is limited to no more than 7 days per 13-week contract; no RTO during the first week of orientation
- Previous permanent employees of the BJC health system must wait 1 year before returning as a traveler
- Standard travelers may remain for up to 18 months, after which a 3-month break in service is required
- Pre-start orientation modules must be completed prior to the first day on the floor
